Below are my favorite paid art programs.
Every artist has tools that they swear by, and digital artists are no different. Below are just a few of the programs that I love. Please keep in mind for this article I’m only listing my favorite paid art programs.
1 sketchbook.
I can’t say enough about sketchbook by Autodesk. Its easy to get into but also has plenty of in depth features for any level of artist. The above video is a just a small sampling of this programs true potential. When paired with a graphic tablet it feels amazingly like drawing with traditional supplies. This program renders pictures using raster graphics so resizing of images is limited. Click here to find out more.
2 Corel Painter.
The next paid art program on the list is Corel Painter. It is able to handle basic photo editing. Plus it can create all the brush effects that Photoshop can in a fraction of the time. Among Corel painters features are its real brushes. When you use the watercolor brushes you can see the paint dry like in traditional media. Corel Painter comes in many flavors and prices with varying features. You can find out more here. I have not paid or compensated in any way for my opinions in this article.
